Registration for Photography and Film
Public visitors to our farm are welcome to take photos as amateurs with hand-held cameras.
Professional photographers, filmmakers, and amateurs conducting shoots are required to register and pay a small fee before commencing your photography session.
Please note that special occasion photos including engagement and wedding photography, family portraits, landscape or library photography and any other commercial photography as defined by us are deemed to be professional and the registration fee must be paid.
We reserve the right to determine if your shoot is commercial in nature and will ask you to pay the photography fee if you haven’t already done so.
Drones are strictly prohibited on our field without prior written permission. Â This is enforced by our staff and you will be asked to leave. Â Should you wish to apply for permission to fly a drone on our land, be aware that we will ask to see a training certificate from the Civil Aviation Authority as well as proof of public liability insurance.
Please read the Guidelines for Photographers before your visit.
Our normal opening times are 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. If you would like to talk to us about using the farm outside these hours e.g. during early morning or sunset, please email us at customerservice@mayfieldlavender.com

Guidelines for Photographers
As a family-run business, we encourage people to photograph our beautiful field but we ask you to bear in mind that it is private property.
While everything is done to assist film crews and photographers, the safety and enjoyment of visitors is the priority during opening hours. Â Please be prepared to work around the public where necessary, and consider the following when planning your shoot:
- we encourage our visitors to walk along the rows of lavender
- we have high numbers of visitors at times
- our farm team is constantly at work on the field, mowing between the rows of lavender, hand weeding and harvesting at the end of the season
Drones are not allowed on our field except with prior written permission. This is because of the safety risk they present to other visitors.  Should you wish to apply for this we will ask to see training certificates from the Civil Aviation Authority as well as public liability insurance.
We reserve the right to determine if your shoot is commercial in nature and will ask you to pay the photography fee if you haven’t already done so.
